Our Purpose

We exist to provide a sound, academic education integrated with a Christian view with a Christian view of God and the world based upon the authoritative and inerrant Word of God. The Bible is specific in stating the principles which underlie Christian Education. The apostle Paul presented a comprehensive principle when he wrote of Christ, "For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth... And He is before all things and by Him all things consist." (Col. 1:16,17)

Our Philosophy

We provide a Christian environment which encourages each student to develop those graces and skills demonstrated in the life of Christ; to discover and exercise his/her own unique, God-given abilities and gifts through expanding opportunities; and to achieve educationaly excellence in all disciplines, with a strong emphasis on patriotism, respect, and character building (Co. 2:2,3; Luke 2:52).

Our Goals

Rose Hill Christian School seeks to obtain certain goals and objectives in the administration of the school in dealing with the lives of students. These goals are as follows:

-Help each child develop to his/her highest level spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and socially (Luke 2:52).

-Develop a well-balanced continuous curriculum with a stress on helping each child reach his/her potential (Col. 3:17).

-Introduce each child to Jesus Christ as his/her Savior and Lord (Acts 16:31).

-Emphasize high academic standards (Col. 2:7).

-Create a school atmosphere that will be conducive to good learning (1 Cor. 14:40).

-Evaluate our program continuously in order to improve (Prov. 11:14).

Our Teachers

Our teaching staff is comprised of graduates from both state universities and private Christian colleges. We maintain both A.C.S.I. and state certification. Many of the faculty hold their Masters Degrees.

Our Enrollment

Rose Hill Christian School will admit all prospective students of both sexes regardless of race, creed or national origin, provided, in the opinion of the school, the student may profit from the program of studiesand activities planned by the school. Enrollment is opened to the public in April each year for the following school year. Enrollment for the current school year is always open. We prefer that parents come to the office of the church and school on the corner of Winslow Road and Roberts Drive to fill out registration forms, secure the student handbook and pay the enrollment fee. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable and guarantees a place for your child until such time that tuition is due.

Our Fees

In addition to the annual enrollment fee there are annual tuition charges which can best be discussed on an individual basis due to discounts and annual cost changes. Fees are payable in 10 monthly payments beginning August 1. There are currently discounts for tuition paid in full by September 1 as well as for families having more than one child in the school. Textbooks must also be purchased.

Our Textbooks

Textbooks used in kindergarten through grade six are that of the A Beka Book Publications, Pensacola, Florida. Junior and senior high curricula include books from A Beka, Bob Jones University Press and carefully screened texts from other publishers. We offer classes which coincide with the Kentucky Program of Studies Guidebook. We utilize the Carnegie units of credit in the high school, matching those requirements which are basic for all students in Kentucky.

Our Food Program

Daily hot lunches are available for all students. Milk, soft drinks, and snacks are also available for purchase.

Our Extracurricular Activities

We are a member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association which allows our sports program to be involved in games and tournaments in our area. Soccer, basketball, baseball, and tennis occupy many of our student's time. Piano lessons, choral, ensemble, and solo singing provide training and performance opportunities throughout the year.
